We now have certainty about our terror from the Beisetal valley.
About 1.5 years ago, during his IGP 2 exam, he suddenly let out loud cries during the attack, although he still held his grip perfectly. During the long escape, there were no further signs of the problem. Since then, we've been taking it easy with him. In the autumn, he had problems again after jumping over a wall and landing on his chest.
He's just an absolute bundle of energy, full of energy in every situation and everywhere. We managed to get him through the IGP 3 without much extra practice. We took him to the vet this week for a CT scan, and they found that his cervical spine is severely compressed. He also has an old injury on his hind leg.
Now he's sadly retiring, although you'd never know it and he's as energetic as a young dog. He has absolutely no problems except during protection training when he only has to hold his arm in one specific position.
He has absolutely no problems with his movement.
